Cookie policy
How Zobi uses cookies and similar technologies.
This policy explains how Zobi, operated by Zobi OÜ (an Estonian private limited company, osaühing), uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It works alongside our privacy policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally.
This marketing website is a lightweight single-page application. It sets few or no cookies on its own until you sign in or connect a store. The sections below describe what we use and what third parties may set.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website or a service it uses can store in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and small pixels or scripts that read or write such data. They can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by another service the page loads (third-party). Some last only for a single browsing session; others persist for a set period.
Cookies we use (categories)
Strictly necessary
These are needed for core functionality and cannot be turned off through a consent choice. The main example is the application session cookie that is set after you sign in or connect your store, which keeps you authenticated while you use the app. The marketing pages themselves set few or no cookies until you reach that point.
Functional
Functional cookies remember choices you make, such as preferences, so the site behaves the way you expect. These are not strictly necessary, so where they are used we rely on your consent before setting them.
Analytics
This website does not use separate analytics cookies. Measurement of how visitors reach and use the marketing pages happens through the advertising technology described under “Marketing” below.
Marketing
We use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) on the marketing pages to measure how our advertising performs and to reach people who have shown interest in Zobi. The pixel reports page views and actions such as starting the app install to Meta, and sets cookies such as _fbp (and _fbc if you arrive through a Meta ad). Where your location requires consent for these cookies, they are set only in line with the applicable rules, and you can always block or delete them as described under “Managing cookies” below. Meta may use this data for its own purposes as described in Meta’s cookie and privacy policies.
Your consent and the legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent, because they are essential to deliver a service you have asked for. We rely on this exemption under EU ePrivacy rules and, in the United Kingdom, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
For all non-essential cookies, including functional, analytics, and marketing cookies, the legal basis is your consent. Where required, we ask for that consent through a cookie banner or consent tool before any such cookie is set, and we do not treat continued browsing alone as consent. You can withdraw consent at any time, as described under “Managing cookies” below. Whether a banner is shown can depend on your location and the current configuration.
Third-party services
Some pages load services provided by other companies, and those services may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control those cookies.
- Meta (Facebook) provides the Meta Pixel we use for advertising measurement, described under “Marketing” above.
- logo.dev is used to render brand logos shown on the site.
- Shopify may be involved during app install or handoff.
- Stripe may be involved on billing pages.
These parties may set cookies for their own purposes (for example security or fraud prevention). Those cookies are governed by the third parties’ own cookie and privacy policies, not by this policy. We do not control them and are not responsible for how those third parties use cookies or the data they collect. Refer to each provider’s own cookie and privacy notices for details.
Cookies table
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| mb_client | Zobi (first-party) | Keeps you signed in to the app after you authenticate or connect a store | Strictly necessary | Session (cleared on sign-out) |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention on billing and payment pages | Strictly necessary (third-party) | Up to 1 year / 30 minutes |
| _fbp | Meta (third-party) | Distinguishes browsers for advertising measurement and delivery | Marketing | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta (third-party) | Stores the ad click reference when you arrive from a Meta ad, so conversions can be attributed | Marketing | 90 days |
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and warn you before they are set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the app from working, such as staying signed in.
If a consent tool is provided on this site, you can also withdraw or change your consent for analytics, marketing, and other optional cookies at any time through that tool, with the same ease as you gave it. Whether such a tool is shown depends on your location and the current configuration. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Disclaimers
The cookie list and categories above are provided for transparency. We may update the cookies and similar technologies we use as the site and our providers change, and the list may not always be exhaustive at every moment. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this policy is provided without warranty of any kind, and we are not responsible for cookies set by third parties or for the content or practices of any third-party service. Nothing here limits any right you have under applicable data protection law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the cookies we use change. When we do, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page.
